Hansuja Das

Leads product and engineering.

Hansuja founded Akaro and leads its product and engineering. She develops the app from end to end, from the screens and the database to the AI that reads a photo of your soil, and she runs the website and the Google Play release.

Her focus is access. A clear answer about soil should be easy to get for anyone with a phone, in their own language, whether they farm a large field or tend a few pots by the house.

Communications and Logistics Head

Rachel

Leads communications and logistics.

Rachel leads communications and logistics for Akaro. She builds and maintains our relationships with partners and with the people and organizations we work with, and keeps day-to-day operations organized.

Her work lets Hansuja focus on the product, and makes sure every conversation Akaro has is clear, timely and followed up. Rachel and Hansuja both attend Jakarta Intercultural School, in grade 12.
